What It Involves
Checks for signs of undiagnosed or poorly controlled diabetes โ usually starting with the glucose reading on your urine dipstick, and sometimes a finger-prick blood glucose or HbA1c if your history or BMI warrants it. DVLA Group 2 (HGV/PCV) medicals specifically assess diabetes because hypoglycaemia at the wheel is a serious safety risk.
