About this medical
The rail safety-critical medical assesses your fitness to work on or near the line under RSSB Railway Group Standards. It's required before you can hold Personal Track Safety (PTS) competence and a Sentinel smartcard, and includes a drugs & alcohol screen, vision, hearing and general health assessment. 'Sentinel' is the national competence smartcard scheme - this medical is what qualifies you for it.
